3DEA’s Glow in the Dark filaments offer a unique twist on standard PLA filament – they illuminate in the dark after exposure to light. This fascinating effect is achieved through the addition of substances like strontium aluminate or occasionally zinc or calcium sulfide. However, it’s important to note that strontium aluminate is highly abrasive and can cause wear to brass nozzles after printing just a few hundred grams of material. Therefore, we recommend using a hardened nozzle for best results.

These additives work by absorbing UV light and then re-emitting it as visible light, creating a captivating glow in the dark effect.

Replacing plastic reels with cardboard ones has long been a target at 3DEA and finally we have managed to offer this at an affordable price in our Eco Pro series.

Recommended temperatures when used with most 3D printers:

• Printing temperature: 195-220°C
• Raft temperature: 190°C
• Heat bed temperature: 45-70°C
• Printing Speed：30~90mm/s
• Movement Speed ：90~150mm/s
