LDO Orbiter V2.5 Extruder

The Orbiter Extruder V2.5 from LDO Motors is an optimised direct drive extruder and the successor version of the Orbiter Extruder V2.0. The extruder has two significant changes compared to its predecessor:

► The newly developed Precision Spider Shaft offers a knurled surface and ensures maximum accuracy with a measured eccentricity of only 20-30 µm. The firmly pressed drive gear improves the gear eccentricity and ensures precise filament feed;

► The newly designed Wide Cut Gears guarantee a constant extrusion rate – regardless of the filament position. The flat gear profile prevents any change in the feed diameter and delivers consistent print quality. In addition, the robust RNC coating (with a hardness of HRC60+) ensures increased durability and improved performance.

The extruder is extremely wear-resistant and therefore suitable for applications with abrasive materials.
