Blue PVB 1.75mm Smoothable Filament

Realize stunning results with PVB 3D printer filament. PVB (PolyVinyl Butyral) is a newer type of filament that has some unique and attractive properties. PVB has poor layer bonding before post-processing but its mechanical properties exceed those of PLA. It does not require a heated bed (but is recommended). PVB can be 3D printed at relatively low temperatures (around 220°C). This means that it can be used with almost all 3D printers on the market, including devices with a Bowden setup.

PVB filament is highly hygroscopic therefore it should be stored in airproof container. To assure best possible print quality filament should be dried (60 °C, 4-8 h) before printing. The product has a distinct odour and a ventilated area is recommended.

PVB is the first type of filament designed for easy post-processing and cleaning up layer lines. Always get a very smooth 3D printing surface. Smoothing is best done with IPA (isopropanol).
